WHAT'S INCLUDED IN A MOTORHOME HABITATION CHECK

1. Gas, Electric, and Fire Safety

 

This is a critical check for all Motor Homes, focused on preventing dangerous leaks and electrical failures.
 

• Gas Leak Check: We perform a strict leak test on the entire gas system to confirm it is completely sealed and safe.

• Appliances: We test the cooker, oven, fridge, and heater on both gas and mains electricity to make sure they ignite, heat, and shut off safely.

• Carbon Monoxide (CO): We check the function and date of your CO and smoke alarms.

• Mains Power: We test your electrical hook-up system (240v) to ensure it's properly earthed and the safety trip switches (RCD/MCB) work instantly.

• 12V System: We check the internal lights, battery condition, and the connections from your car to ensure the battery charges properly while driving.
   

2. Bodywork, Water, and Structure

We protect your investment by ensuring the caravan stays dry and everything works inside.
 

• Damp Check: A full damp test is performed to identify any hidden water leaks that could cause expensive structural damage.

• Exterior Seams: We check all the seals, trims, and panels on the outside of the caravan to prevent water getting in.

• Windows & Doors: All catches, hinges, locks, windos, and skylights are checked and lubricated for smooth operation.

• Water System: We check the pump, all taps, pipes, and the shower to ensure a good flow and no leaks.

• Toilet: We check the operation and seal of the toilet system.
   

3. Damp & Water Ingress Report

• A Full and detailed damp a water ingress report aimed at identifyiong any current or future issues. 

• Using a professional damp meter, you can ensure the report is acurate.
